Benrinnes is a Scottish distillery located in Speyside. The distillery was first founded in the 1820s, but the original building was destroyed in a flood in 1829. The distillery was rebuilt in the 1950s and has been producing whisky for over half a century. Benrinnes produces a sherry-like whisky that is often used in blends. The distillery is located on the shoulder of the Benrinnes mountain, 700 feet above sea level.
The majority of the whisky produced at Benrinnes is used in blends, but there are a few single malt bottlings available from major bottlers like Gordon & MacPhail and Carn Mor.
