Which Johnnie Walker Bottles Are Most Popular?

Trying to determine what your favourite tipple of choice is is easier said than done. Single malt Scotch whisky, currently,  is a dime-a-dozen, which does not make the decision process any less difficult. Some, for instance, will argue that Glenfiddich are a premium brand, and none can surpass their aged bottles. Here at Whisky Kingdom, however, we believe that you need look no further than Johnnie Walker, and you can find a breakdown of their best options down below.

A Little About The Brand

Although you may not realise it, Johnnie Walker did not originally start out as a brewer; in actuality, this company’s origins were in the retail business, selling top-of-the-range farm products. However, in 1865, they swapped their primary focus onto the distilling of whisky, and this is where they truly began to shine. Currently, their blended Scotch whisky is one of the most widely-distributed spirits in the world, and much of this can be attributed to their incredible flavours.

The Gold Route

Initially released as an exclusive, limited time offer, the wonderful reception that The Gold Route received meant that it was only a matter of time before Johnnie Walker decided to mass-release it. This is a nod to the history of whisky, as it looks to imitate South American flavours from times long gone. With notes of raisins being evident from each mouthful, the bold flavour will leave you feeling relaxed and content.

Blue Label

Easily the most high-end product to feature on this list, Johnnie Walker’s Blue Label is a limited edition variant with an incredible reputation. Stemming from the Ghost & Rare collection, you may be surprised to hear that this is a drink which contains uncharacteristically fruity flavours. When the aroma wafts into your nose, it is impossible to miss the hints of apple and pear. These are complemented excellently by the cinnamon sticks which come into play during the final stages of brewing. Should money not be an issue, we strongly recommend sampling this exquisite spirit.

Red Rye Finish

Although you may not think much of this bottle due to the relatively low price, you should not discount Red Rye Finish from your line of thinking. Part of what makes this such a fantastic option is the fact that old bourbon casks play an active part in the brewing process. The reason for this is that it infuses the spirit with a rich texture, as well as injecting much-needed sweetness. The six months which it takes for this drink to reach maturity is certainly worth it, as the results are guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
