Founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson, the Highland Park Distillery occupies a small island north of Scotland called Orkney. Due to its location on the side of a hill with coastal air and nearby barley fields, the whisky from this distillery has unique flavours not found anywhere else. By day an ordinary church usher, Eunson turned to smuggling at night and often used High Park near Kirkwall as his base for illegal activity--which just so happens to be where the distillery is now located.
