Smokehead is a single malt from Islay bottled by Ian MacLeod distillers . It targets younger arrivals to the malt scene and is known for its peaty characteristics. The identity of the distillery which supplies the stock for Smokehead is unknown, but it is most likely Caol Ila . Smokehead was launched in 2006 as a no-age-statement single malt, and during the years more whiskies like Smokehead Unfiltered and Smokehead Sherry Bomb were added to the range.
