Half of it is luck – perhaps – and half due to care and dedication to craft. Crafted in a wine and whiskey distillery in Rutherglen, regional Victoria the climate has hot summer days and cool nights, perfect conditions for ageing their distinctive whiskey.
Their award-winning wine distillery – established in 1859 – gives them access to fortified wine barrels which they recommission and char in their own coopery in consultation with a world expert on wine maturation and reuse for the whiskeys, giving them intensely fruity whiskeys.
Morris Australian Single Malt - Muscat Barrel Finish is finished in their multi-award-winning Muscat wine barrels.
This is a complex, full-bodied whiskey, coming at a strength of 46% ABV, with the flavour of dates, figs, raisins and molasses and the sweet creaminess of lovely milk chocolate.
