A limited-edition release single malt. The whisky was released in honour of Ardbeg day in 2014, the year of the Football World Cup in Brazil. The name Auriverdes is derived from ‘auri’ which means gold and ‘verde’ which means green. In other words gold for the colour of the whisky, and green for Ardbeg bottles – and the colours of the Brazilian flag.
Nose: Tarry and herbal notes with hints of mocha. Flavour: Coffee grounds pass to smoked root vegetables, while maple-cured bacon collides with hot-smoked salmon Finish: A lingering, smoky vanilla note.
