This continues the legacy of the Flaming Heart series combining heavily-peated malt whiskies and malts extra matured in virgin toasted French oak. Every few years, Compass Box discover whiskies with the power and harmony worthy of Flaming Heart, the 2022 release uses a new power trio of Laphroig, Talisker and Caol Ila to bring the melodic peat as well as a very complex selection of some old compass box blends.
This label artwork for this release is particularly beautiful referencing Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, Pink Floyd and Captain Beefheart.
Nose: High energy with smouldering peat embers, cigar wrapper and candied ginger.
