A batch of six hogsheads from Mannochmore distillery has been used to create this single malt, distilled in 2008 and aged for more than 13 years. Contrasting fresh, tangy, fruity and indulgent flavours give this Mannochmore plenty of intriguing character.
Nose: Freshly-cut grass is followed immediately by sticky caramel sauce and cinnamon-spiced apple strudel. A paper bag of candied mango lends a slightly tropical note.
Palate: Chili-dark-chocolate envelops the palate, leading onto delicious vanilla bean and a smattering of nutmeg. A spoonful of pear jam is spread on a buttery, flaky croissant.
Finish: A glass of elderflower-and-apple soda is poured, alongside a plate of caramelised pecans.
