This is a blended malt whisky from distilleries most probably in the Highlands. Douglas Laing started out as a blender of whisky, and here they have given us a mighty beast – named in honour of Burn’s famous poem ‘To a Mouse’. There are only 297 bottles of the 20 Year Old, and no colour is added and it’s non-chill filtered. It comes at a strength of 42.7% ABV. It has notes of honey, vanilla, meringue and malted barley. Generally, you shouldn’t ignore a whisky blended by Douglas Laing, and this is no exception.
